Kendall Jenner Deletes Her Instagram Account Without Warning

It just got a lot harder to keep up with Kendall Jenner.

The 21-year-old model appeared to have suddenly deleted her Instagram account on Sunday, leaving her millions of followers confused. Instead of being greeted by fashionable photos, fans who went to her Instagram page find a generic message that reads, “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”

Jenner’s other social media pages, such as Facebook and Twitter, are still up and running, although the reality star hasn’t commented on her break from the popular photo-sharing app.

Jenner seems to be following in the footsteps of big sister Kim Kardashian West, who took a major step back from social media following her horrific incident in Paris on October 3, in which she was robbed at gunpoint and had millions of dollars worth of jewelry stolen from her by masked men at the No Address Hotel.

Although the 36-year-old reality star has not shut down her social media accounts, there have been no new posts on Instagram since the scary encounter. Kardashian West did share a photo on Facebook only to delete it less than 24 hours later.

Jenner also recently revealed to Allure magazine that she deletes her social media apps from time to time, especially when she feels like they’re taking over her life.

“I definitely have close friends, and even some family members, who are so connected to their phone and can’t get off of it,” she said, describing a vacation with Kylie Jenner when her sister couldn’t put her phone away.

“I was just zoning out, taking it all in. And Kylie wouldn’t put her phone down. I’m like, ‘That’s so crazy to me that you’re not experiencing this,’ ” she said. “That was the moment it kind of clicked for me. And I didn’t like it. So sometimes I delete Instagram or Twitter or Snapchat off my phone for a couple days.”
