Kendall Jenner Confirmed and Got Candid About Her Relationship With Devin Booker

Aside from a few sweet Instagram Stories, Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker have been keeping their over-a-year-long relationship totally private…until now. The model and reality star opened up about her NBA-player boyfriend for the first time during the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion special, addressing both her love life and why she tends to keep her dating life on the low. 

“He’s my boyfriend,” Jenner said when asked what her relationship is with Booker, later adding, “No offense to my older sisters at all, but I think that Kylie and I specifically have had the opportunity to watch our older sisters go through marriages and relationships and breakups and do them pretty publicly.” 

Jenner, however, says “it’s always worked better” for her to keep things private. “It was [my] personal preference from a really young age,” she said. “I think it makes my life a lot easier and our relationship a lot better, to be honest…. I just feel like it’s a private matter and not for anybody else to judge or know.”

Honestly, that makes sense. While the vast majority of us will never know what it’s like to date a famous person or be on a reality show, social media has made relationships public for anyone who wants to broadcast theirs. There is something to be said for showing a little restraint (if that’s what you want, of course). 

Jenner also addressed her and her family’s tendency to date NBA players, quipping, “No, I don’t actually only date basketball players, if anyone’s ever done their research.” (Never forget when she and Harry Styles dated briefly! What a pop-culture era that was. I want it back!) “I’m not ashamed that I have a type, and I’m also a genuine basketball fan.” Good for you, Kendall Jenner, genuine basketball fan.
