Amid performing on Saturday Night Live, touring the world performing her latest hits and hitting major career milestones, Kelsea Ballerini continues to cause a stir amongst her dedicated fans. But she also knows how to make a mark in another way — through daring ventures into the world of fashion.
In September 2022, the "Heartfirst" singer surprised folks when she arrived for an A-lister event in New York City. While she loves wearing pops of color on the red carpet, she chose to wear a black-and-white Rodarte gown for the glamorous moment. Though it was a more muted ensemble than she's used to wearing, the country star still stood out, thanks to the unique details on her dress. The full-length gown featured a sheer lace top with voluminous sleeves and a neckline that dipped into a deep-V.
To complement the bold details, Kelsea chose to amp up her hair and makeup to match it.
While she opted not to add any jewelry to the look, Kelsea still accessorized with a pair of simple black pump heels. What's more, she blew her blonde hair straight and parted it down the middle. As for makeup, she wore smoky eyeshadow, rosy blush and a neutral lipstick color.
When she posted highlights on Instagram the next day, her followers couldn't get over how incredible she looked. The artist shared a variety of snaps, including of her in a car, walking around and even eating a slice of pizza on the streets of the Big Apple.
"YOU ARE GORGEOUS 🤍," one person wrote in the comments section. "The hair. The dress. The shoes. The everything," another exclaimed. "Stunning. Every. Single. One 😍😍," a different person agreed.
This fashion risk proves that Kelsea can do it all, both in music and in high-end couture. As for what she'll wear to the next event, it won't be long before fans see for themselves. She's set to host the 2023 CMT Awards alongside Kane Brown on April 2, which means there will be a lot of wardrobe changes are in store for the Rolling Up the Welcome Mat singer.
