Kelsea Ballerini Puts Barbiecore Spin on Old Hollywood Glamour in Pink Christian Siriano Gown for CMA Awards 2023

Kelsea Ballerini made a classic arrival to the 2023 CMA Awards on Wednesday in Nashville, looking to designer Christian Siriano for her blush-pink dress.

Ballerini’s one-shoulder dress featured a thigh-high slit and draping. Dressed by Molly Dickson, she completed her timeless outfit with bowtie heels and sparkling earrings.

Joining Ballerini was her boyfriend, Chase Stokes. The “Outer Banks” actor coordinated with her dainty look in a black tuxedo.

Ballerini is nominated for two CMA Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat.” The EP, which musically details her recent divorce from Morgan Evans, was released at the same time the singer embarked on her Heartfirst Tour.

Ballerini’s last pink-themed fashion look was at The Original Donut Shop Coffee’s Halloween party in October, where she channeled Barbiecore trends in a pink denim cowboy costume.

“Halloween is a fun time where you can just play pretend for a night,” she told WWD in October, later adding her memories of the spooky season included, “A big trunk full of thrift shop finds and my playtime was just getting all glam, playing in my mom’s makeup and wearing all these fun costumes.”

The 2023 CMA Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan with Peyton Manning, honored the best and brightest in the country music category. Paula Abdul, Jordan Davis, Sara Evans and more were tapped as presenters for this year’s award show, along with Ballerini, Jelly Roll and Old Dominion as performers.
