No shirt? Well, that's no problem for Kelsea Ballerini. The country music star is serving up major 2000's vibes in her latest Instagram post and fans are here for it!
On the heels of a shocking divorce announcement, the "half of my hometown" singer is entering her brand-new era in full force. Kelsea gave fans a teaser of what's to come in her career with a fun photoshoot ahead of her new album, Subject to Change. Let's just say that she's really bearing it all (lyrically and literally!).
In a photo captioned, "🦋 i don’t think about the chapters, it’s all about turning the page 🦋 a new page turns tonight at midnight," the 29-year-old stood topless with her back turned against a blue, watercolor background.
The country singer opted for Y2K vibes as she posed in light wash, embroidered jeans and long, wavy hair.
Under the Instagram post, fans bombarded the comment section with messages like:
"i’m so excited i can’t wait for it to become my entire personality"
"this album is gonna get me through this hard season of life"
"I don’t think you understand how excited I am"
"literally cannot contain my excitement"
Kelsea then gave fans what they've been waiting for: Her brand-new album!
In a lengthy emotional caption, Kelsea wrote, "if i’m honest, growing up it kinda hurts like hell…and for me, it sounds like this. internal observations, drunken conversations, diehard friendships, jumping in hopeful, owning the cringe, doing my best, discovering the good stuff isn’t always grandiose, falling on my face, being a show pony, taking inventory of what i have…and ultimately welcoming change when it comes." Now, that's something we can all probably relate to!
As soon as Subject to Change dropped, the "HEARTFIRST" singer hit the road for a 10-night only tour around the U.S. She described the process of releasing her "dream album" and performing on tour as "one of the most emotionally rich experiences of [her] life."
We can probably all agree that we're happy to see Kelsea fully immerse herself in this new, vulnerable era and can't wait to see what the fashionista's got up her sleeve next.
