  • Kelsea Ballerini took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes photos from her shoot with Nylon magazine, and flashed her strong abs in a bra top and her upper-thigh tattoo.

  • The singer has been open about her struggle with body image, and makes sure to take care of her health and wellness.

  • She loves taking long walks and doing ballet.

Kelsea Ballerini is giving Barbie cowgirl in her latest shoot for Nylon magazine, and she made sure to document some BTS from the shoot for her followers.

In the pics, the “Blindsided” singer rocked various outfits, including a pink cowgirl hat, a white tank top, pink briefs, and fuzzy pink cowboy boots, that you may want to grab for your Halloween costume or just life. Also in the pic? A peek of her upper-thigh tattoo. In other photos, Kelsea wears a leopard print robe and black boots, and a black bralette with low-rise jeans that show off her strong core.

“when i say yee…@nylonmag” Kelsea, 30, captioned the photos on Instagram. Of course, her fans and friends absolutely adored the pics, and they got busy hyping her up in the comments. “Gorgeous!!” Christina Perri commented. Another follower added, “She’s just thriving it’s simple ✨❤️🔥.” Most definitely.

It's also hard to miss how strong Kelsea is in these pics, so if her post has you wondering what she’s doing to stay strong, Women’s Health has some insights for you.

Back in 2022, Kelsea spoke to Women’s Health about how her routines changed following her tour with the Jonas Brothers. The constant movement and mental strain left her depleted. And she got real about how this all impacted the way she viewed herself.

“As someone that's really struggled with body image my whole life, I really have to be checked in to, 'Am I doing this for the right reasons?' And I felt like by the end of that tour, I was starting to detach from the correct reasons for working out," Kelsea told WH. Previously, Kelsea shared with People she struggled with bulimia as a teen, and has worked hard to cultivate a healthier mindset around her body.

Post-tour, Kelsea told Women's Health that she entered a “season of rest,” where she prioritized things that helped her connect with her inner child, like long walks in nature and ballet classes.

“I started taking ballet again. I danced for 10 years when I was younger and quit when I was 14. But I loved it so much. And then my path really shifted to music,” she told WH. Ballet can definitely work wonders for your body, strengthening the abdomen and back, while also improving flexibility.

Back in 2017, Kelsea’s then-trainer Erin Oprea told People about some of the exercises that help strengthen the “THE LITTLE THINGS” singer’s core.

At that point, a typical ab workout for Kelsea included Bosu ball crunches, sit-up claps, and lots of planks (including side plank hip-dips, which involves going into a side plank on your elbow and then dipping your hips toward the ground, before raising them back to a neutral position). The trainer recommended doing this for 20 to 45 seconds on each side. Yeah, that will definitely build a solid foundation of muscles!

Kelsea doesn’t share much about her diet these days, but she did collab with Sonic to create the tasty drink ocean water with blue raspberry and lime. The singer called it “summertime in a cup.” Yum!

Kelsea, you are thriving! Keep doing you!
