Kelly Ripa Shares Rare Throwback Pic with Her Lookalike Mom on Instagram

Kelly Ripa celebrated her mom's birthday with a rare throwback pic on Instagram and, clearly, strong genes run in the family.

This week, the 52-year-old co-host of Live with Kelly and Mark posted a childhood photo with her mom, Esther, and the resemblance between this mother-daughter duo is hard to miss—thanks to their matching smiles. Esther, who's wearing what appears to be a bright yellow dress, poses near a brick wall with Ripa, who's donning a polka-dot dress with a pink hair bow.

Ripa captioned the post, "#FromTheArchives, Mom and me circa ‘73. So ballet recital chic! #HappyBirthday Mom, I love you!"

Fans were also quick to mention the pair's uncanny resemblance in the comments. One fan wrote, "There it is! That is where you got most of your beautiful beauty genes from. That explains it!!" Another fan said, "Happy Birthday to your beautiful mom who cloned you!"

Ripa shared the post in March 2021, which includes a throwback of Esther (on the left) and a red-carpet photo of Ripa. Not only do they share the same smile and hair, but also, both women have very similar bone structures. Ripa captioned the post, “Mom 1980. Me 2005.” And in response, one fan wrote, "Wow, definitely twins. You're both beautiful."

Also, for her mom's birthday that year, Ripa treated fans to more throwback pics in an IG tribute and said, "Happy birthday to my favorite lady on earth. Mom I love you as much as you love hats and wigs!!"
