You may be getting a lot more Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on your TV screen — well, sort of. ABC announced yesterday that it has ordered a pilot for a new comedy series titled Work Wife based on the duo's amazing dynamic. Ripa shared the exciting news about Work Wife on her Instagram on Thursday,

EW reports that according to the show's official log line, the plot will center around a "platonic male-female team whose professional success, personal friendship, and ability to share deodorant makes their lives work." But rather than having the show's main characters, Dani and Scott, working in the world of TV, they'll be working in real estate, trying to start their own team. And with all the stress that comes with being your own boss, they'll rely on their yin-yang dynamic to keep themselves afloat, both professionally and personally.

Although Seacrest only joined Ripa on the ABC syndicated talk show Live With Kelly & Ryan in 2017, the two have been longtime friends and developed a great dynamic before ever getting on air together.

Ripa and Seacrest will both serve as executive producers on Work Wife, and David Windsor and Casey Johnson — the writers behind The Real O'Neals — will pen the script. Tom Holland of Malcolm in the Middle and God On is set to direct.

Although no cast has been announced as of yet, there were plenty of comments on Ripa's Instagram post from other celebrities saying they would love to star in the show. Actor Jerry O'Connell commented "JUST SENT IN MY SELF TAPE" and TV personality Carson Kressley said "OMG I'm trying out for the part of Gelman. Or Art! Who do I call," referencing Live's executive producer and production manager.

The pilot is being developed for the fall 2020-21 season.
