Kelly Ripa Wears A Breezy Barbiecore Pink Dress To The 'Variety' Power Of Women Event

The talk show host was photographed arriving at Variety's Power of Women event, looking like a real-life Barbie—and she's not the only one! Brooke Shields rocked a Barbiecore pink jumpsuit to promote her Hulu documentary, Pretty Baby, on Good Morning America. Kelly wore an easy, breezy, long-sleeve midi in the most eye-catching magenta hue. It's certainly proof that all things Barbiecore are still in ahead of Margot Robbie's Barbie movie. She paired her Jason Wu dress with a pair of glittery $1,100 Miu Miu Mary Janes.

For glam, Kelly styled her iconic blonde hair in a deep side part past her shoulders. She opted for light pink makeup with a pale eyeshadow, thick mascara, a pale pink lip, and just a hint of blush. Kelly wore a pair of pearl drop earrings with a silver chain choker necklace.

The award was presented by her best friend and Bravo host Andy Cohen, who delivered an emotional speech praising Kelly's friendship and extraordinary talent. "As a new girl dad, I am so inspired by you, Kelly, and I hope my daughter sees in you that possibility is limitless," Andy told Kelly. "As her friend of 16 years, I can also tell you that Kelly Ripa has put up with some grade-A bullshit that men in her situation would never have to deal with."

Andy also noted that Kelly's bubbly personality would have made her an excellent reality star, "She would have been a great Housewife by the way—but I digress," the Watch What Happens Live! host quipped, referencing The Real Housewives franchise.

When Kelly gave her speech, she urged others to be a champion for women in the workplace and told women that they shouldn't ever be "advocate" for themselves. "Support is what all women in every industry could always use more of—and will seldom ask for," Kelly said. "Offer support to someone who needs it. Encourage others to do the same. Sometimes just being asked is enough." She also got a laugh when she added that despite her day job, she was "not a morning person."
