Kelly Ripa Loses it on Morning Show After Mark Consuelos Reveals His Wrestling Singlet

Fans of Live with Kelly and Mark were in for a very special treat this week—and no one was more excited about it than Kelly Ripa.

On Wednesday's episode, Mark Consuelos (52), practically beamed as he told fans about his plans to wrestle a guest on Thursday's episode. As he pulled out a yellow singlet from the University of Michigan—the school where their son, Joaquin, currently wrestles—Kelly Ripa (52), lost it and laughed so hard that she slapped the table.

As he showcased the singlet to the audience, he joked, "I finally made the team. I may or may not wear one of these. You guys can write in." Meanwhile, Ripa chimed in, "You're going to wrestle tomorrow!"

The Riverdale star confirmed that they would be joined by none other than NCAA wrestling champion, Mason Parris. He said, "I'm gonna do a little demonstration. Mason Parris will be here, NCAA champion, all-American and all-around good guy. He's about 265 pounds."

As he spoke, Consuelos showed the audience the wrestling headgear, which Ripa mistook for a protective cup. With a laugh, he clarified, "This is the headgear to protect my ears."

"I showed my son, who is a wrestler at Michigan, the singlet and he goes, 'I have to wear a singlet because I'm a wrestler. I don't understand anybody who would ever want to wear a singlet who's not a wrestler.' But I do get mistaken for a wrestler all the time."

With a classic eye roll, Ripa joked, "I get mistaken for a Victoria's Secret model all the time." And in response, Consuelos burst into laughter.

Not surprisingly, fans in the IG comments were totally on board with Consuelos rocking the skin-tight wrestling uniform. One follower wrote, "It will be must-watch TV."

And fortunately for viewers, Consuelos did in fact don the singlet today. In one clip, Ripa confessed, "That was the most fun I've had watching the show."

Yep, we're thinking Consuelos in a singlet is going to make the show's ratings go sky-high.
