Kelly Ripa and Her Kids Hilariously Recreate Old Vacation Photo

Kelly Ripa and her kids spent Mother's Day at the beach, taking the opportunity to recreate a photo the group took together about twenty years ago.
The television host shared the results on Instagram this past Sunday, May 14, writing, "Objects in this recreation photo are bigger than they appear 👀 #Throwback #HappyMothersDay #ThenVsNow," in the caption of the hysterical photoset, which began with the newest version of the family snapshot.
Ripa sat on a towel on the beach, holding her youngest son, Joaquin, 20, in her lap. She gave an exasperated look at the camera as he looked down at the sand, her oldest son, Michael, 25, crouching next to them and looking directly into the camera. Lola, 21, crouched opposite of Michael, looking out to the water instead of the camera.
In the original photo, Ripa maintained the same tired expression, her hair pulled up into a nearly identical ponytail, with an infant Joaquin in her arms. Michael poked his tongue slightly out at the camera, while Lola appeared to be crouching in for a closer look at her little brother.

Her husband, Mark Consuelos—the likely photographer—posted a series of hearts in response: "❤️❤️❤️."
"This is amazing…happy mama’s day! ❤️," singer Josh Groban commented.
Meanwhile, fans were tickled by the attention to detail, with one writing, "S’funny how you so perfectly recreated the facial expression tho…."
