Kelly Ripa Flaunts Her 6-Pack Abs in New Instagram Video and Fans Are Going Crazy

From Good Housekeeping

  • Kelly Ripa shared a video on Instagram of herself dancing to a popular Pitbull song.

  • She was inspired by Shakira's half-time performance at the Super Bowl.

  • This is the second dance routine Ripa shared in the last week, and her Instagram followers are clamoring for more.

If she weren't already busy hosting Live with Kelly and Ryan every day, we'd swear that Kelly Ripa could be moonlighting as a professional dancer — and it seems that the entire Internet agrees! Following Jennifer Lopez and Shakira's show-stopping half time performance at the Super Bowl last weekend, the 49-year-old television host has taken to Instagram to show off an insanely impressive dance routine and participate in a new fitness challenge inspired by Shakira herself. It's no secret that Ripa stays busy by hitting the gym, but some fans are truly amazed to see firsthand how impressive she can be on the dance floor.

Ripa posted a video on Tuesday, which shows her nailing a routine set to Chris Porter and Pitbull's "The Water Dance" alongside trainer Anna Kaiser, who also happens to train Shakira. "Wcw with my sisters in the @shakira Champeta challenge. 3 mothers. 7 children. 36 pack," she wrote in the 3-minute long video's caption.

For those who may have missed the epic Super Bowl performance, Champeta is a style of Colombian dance that Shakira performed on Sunday, alongside many other moves stemming from her Afro-Colombian background, Billboard reports. If Kelly's dance looks somewhat familiar, that's because it's loosely based on Shakira's dance off with Lopez during the second half of their performance. You may continue to see it across your social media feeds in the coming weeks as Shakira and her 18-year-old choreographer Liz Dany Campo Diaz posted a step-by-step tutorial on YouTube so that everyone can get in on the fun.

As for Ripa's followers, they can't get enough and are asking the host to keep it up. "Let’s do it to a Champeta song! I’m obsessed," one user wrote. "Y’all better SERVE!" another said. Of course, husband Mark Consuelos left a comment chock full of heart emojis, and fellow Riverdale co-star Skeet Ulrich said Ripa's routine was "amazing."

This isn't the first time that Ripa has graced us with live footage of her dance routines — earlier last week, she shared a video of her "Shakira Super Bowl audition" set to the singer's smash hit, "Whenever, Wherever." Here's hoping that we don't have to wait until the next Super Bowl to see more of Ripa's routines — after all, it seems everyone can't get enough.
