Kelly Ripa Fans Are Floored After Seeing Her Twinning Instagram With Her Mom

Kelly Ripa is her mother’s daughter.
The Live With Kelly and Ryan cohost recently shared a picture on Instagram showing how much she resembles her mom, Esther Ripa, and left many speechless. In side-by-side photos, Kelly and Esther both strike a similar pose with sleek pulled-back hairstyles. On the left below, Kelly’s mom is captured in 1980 wearing a dark blazer and a collared dress shirt. On the right, Kelly appears to be at an event in 2005 wearing a bejeweled gown.
The 50-year-old ABC star simply captioned her Instagram post, “Mom 1980. Me 2005.”
After taking in the uncanny resemblance, fans flooded the comments section with their surprised reactions. “What??!! I thought the first pic was [an] old picture of you. Wow! Both beautiful ladies ❤️❤️,” one person wrote. “😮 Wow. Twins!” another added. “Twins!! Equally beautiful! 😍😘💕,” a different fan said.
Among them was Kelly’s husband of 24 years, Mark Consuelos. “❤️ Love this so much ❤️,” the Riverdale actor commented. “Wow!” CNN anchor Anderson Cooper chimed in, while actress Busy Philipps wrote, “🤯🤯🤯.”
From time to time, Kelly gives fans a glimpse of her mom. Most recently, for International Women’s Day, the TV personality posted a throwback photo of herself when she was a little girl in her mom’s arms. Before that, at the end of February, Kelly stopped by her parents’ house to spend the weekend with them. While there, Kelly took a few candid shots, including one that showed Esther trying to avoid the camera.
“I got to spend Saturday with my folks in their natural habitat. ♥️♥️,” she wrote on Instagram. “Mom proved as elusive to capture as always. Dad’s Viewers’ Choice Award also took no chances. (Hepa filters. Windows open. Double masks. Still socially distant.)”
Anyway, we're never going to get over how much Kelly and Esther look alike. Ever.
