Kelly Preston Passed Away After a Two-Year Battle With Breast Cancer
On Sunday, July 12th, actress Kelly Preston, best known for her roles in Jerry Maguire and Twins, passed away after a two-year battle with breast cancer. Preston, who was 57, leaves behind her husband John Travolta, and their two children, Ella and Benjamin. Preston and Travolta lost their 16-year-old son, Jett, in 2009.
Travolta broke the news of his wife’s passing on Instagram earlier today, July 13th, writing, “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer.”
“She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many,” he continued. “My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered.”

Many of Preston and Travolta’s celebrity friends have been sharing their love and support for the family on social media.
Andy Cohen commented on Travolta’s post, “Heaven got a new angel ❤ sending love to your family.” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi also commented, “So incredibly sorry for your loss! Sending so much love to your beautiful family.” Selma Blair wrote, "I am holding you all in love. Your wife, your partner in life, was a darling soul. Always at the ready with comfort and grace. What a team you were. She will be so missed. 🖤"
Others have taken to Twitter to share their condolences and remember Preston for being a light in so many of their lives.

Russell Crowe recalled when he and Preston first met in the mid-90s. “I havent seen her much, but when I did, she was always the same sparkly eyed gem,” he wrote.
