Kelly Clarkson Thanks Her Estranged Husband for “Believing” in Her
Kelly Clarkson just won a Daytime Emmy Award for The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Kelly tweeted a response to the “MAJOR” win and included a sweet message to her estranged hubby.
The always classy Kelly Clarkson is giving her fans a lesson in manners. Even though she is divorcing her estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock, she still found the time to thank him for supporting her career. Kelly now has an Emmy to add to her long list of award trophies after winning the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host for the first season of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
“OH MY GOSH!!!!!! What is happening?!!!! This is amazing!!!” she tweeted. “Thank y’all so much!!! And a MAJOR thank you to my entire crew that really is the reason I won!!! I can’t wait to celebrate with our whole crew when humans can congregate again!! This calls for a PARTY!!!!”
Apparently, Brandon was one of the people who pushed her to start the show because she followed up with the tweet: “Thank you so much to @BBlackstock for believing in me & convincing me to do @KellyClarksonTV show.”
The success of her talk show is evident since she’s continued production during quarantine. Instead of inviting guests to chat in front of a live studio audience, she’s opted for video chats with celebs like Seth Meyers, Demi Lovato, and Jane Lynch. Clearly, she’s still thriving despite the split.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Kelly and Brandon are “heartbroken” by their impending divorce. “Their focus is on co-parenting and moving forward, as this is the last place they ever thought they would be,” added the insider. “They both understand divorce is never easy for children, but Kelly and Brandon are great parents. It’ll just take time.”
