Kelly Clarkson wowed the crowd at her concert when she surprised them with a cover of Harry Styles' song "As It Was."

The 41-year-old American Idol alum, who has also been applauded for her recent covers on The Kelly Clarkson Show during its "Kellyoke" segment, performed the hit song as part of her Las Vegas residency.

She introduced the song by reportedly saying, "We’re gonna go a little Kellyoke every night. We were supposed to sing this actually on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and then all the strikes happened and nobody has a job now, so we didn’t get to perform it on the show."

One fan on Twitter captured the performance on video and shared it on their account.

A fellow Clarkson fan commented on the performance, writing, "hits so different from Harry's version, which I love. But this one brought real tears. Go Kelly!"

Fans were stunned by Clarkson's talent, with the "Breakaway" singer perfectly emulating Styles' moody vocals, transitioning into falsetto as the chorus hit. She even added a powerful moment all her own when she belted out the lyrics, "As it was / You know it's not the same as it was," at the end of the song.

Many people felt personally touched by the emotional cover, with a fan in attendance at the show tweeting, "kelly clarkson covering 'as it was' at this concert rn changed me as a person."

"KELLY CLARKSON SINGING AS IT WAS IS GIVING ME LIFE. OMG." declared another.

While Clarkson is often complimented for her singing, whether it's her own music or another's, fans seem to really like her recent covers. At the concert in Las Vegas, she also covered "abcdefu" by Gayle, which she previously did for "Kellyoke," but this time around, Clarkson really changed the lyrics and didn't hold back.

Clarkson's 10-show residency in Las Vegas will continue until her last performance on Aug. 19.
