When Is 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' Coming Back? Everything We Know About Season 5

The Kelly Clarkson Show has taken the world of daytime television by storm since its premiere in September 2019. With four seasons to date and a slate of A-list celebrity guests, loyal fans are eager for a fifth season of the award-winning talk show. The good news is in November 2022 NBCUniversal announced The Kelly Clarkson Show is renewed through 2025. That means, for Season 5, we're only left wondering when it will premiere.

With more than 500 hours viewed on broadcast, cable and digital platforms since its launch, The Kelly Clarkson Show has been a home for stories that entertain, inspire important conversations and connect with loyal viewers across multiple generations in meaningful ways. Together, with our best-in-class producing team, we’ll continue to build on the show’s success and legacy,” noted Tracie Wilson, Executive Vice President, Syndication Studios and E! News at NBCUniversal.

Though with good news comes bad news. Due to the ongoing writers' strike, production of The Kelly Clarkson Show has been on hold since May. There are supposedly some unreleased episodes that could air as a part of Season 5, but we think its release will be delayed until the demands of the writers are met. Other daytime talk shows, including The Drew Barrymore Show, The Talk, and The Jennifer Hudson Show, have resumed filming. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBCUniversal has not set a return date for Kelly's show.

What we do know about Season 5 is that episodes will be filmed in a new location. The first four season of the talk show were filmed in Los Angeles, but Clarkson along with the talk show are now moving to New York City. Clarkson acquired a filming space inside NBC's famous Rockefeller Plaza. The space, which was previously home to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, also accounts for her usual live-studio audience (find out how to score tickets for yourself when filming resumes). Of course, Clarkson's band will also be making the move.

The release date and celebrity guest list for Season 5 has not been released yet. However with past guests including Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton, John Legend, and former First Lady Michelle Obama, we're sure it will be a star-studded lineup. Stay tuned for more news on Season 5!
