Kelly Clarkson Performs Songs From Her New Album 'Chemistry' In A Green Dress

Kelly Clarkson shocked customers at a Blue Bottle Coffee shop in Los Angeles by performing a new song, “Me,” from her new album Chemistry. The album, which discusses features emotional songs about her tumultuous relationship with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, came out on Friday, June 23rd. For the stellar flash mob performance, Kelly sported a truly marvelous green wrap dress with embroidered details and a pair of white-heeled booties to finish off the bohemian ensemble.

Customers at Blue Bottle adoringly watched Kelly’s serenade while others took out their phones to capture the once-in-a-lifetime moment. The flash mob, which consisted of the “Stronger” singer belting out lyrics and a group of singers on a higher floor harmonizing, was truly an incredible, emotional performance about her divorce. “I would like a vanilla latte,” Clarkson quipped immediately after wrapping up, causing the audience to laugh.

The song “Me” featured lyrics like, “I don’t need somebody to hold me / Don’t need somebody to love me / Don’t need somebody to pick these pieces up / I put together my broken / Let go of the pain I’vе been holdin’ / Don’t need to need somebody / When I got me” in the chorus.

Some other lines include, “Buried myself into somebody else / Shut out some parts of me, did it so casually / I guess I needed that to be able to step back / I lived my life without me, I never allowed me to.” Another song from Kelly’s new album, “Red Flag Collector,” talks about how Brandon “took all [her] money” in the divorce settlement.

For the performance, Kelly donned a boho-inspired dark green wrap dress. The frock featured long sleeves, a plunging neckline, a wrap design, and an intricate embroidered decal of paisley and floral shapes. The wrap silhouette, which looks flattering for all body types, was cinched at her waist with an equally embroidered belt. We think this dress is the perfect summer essential!

She sported a pair of white booties for a little added height. As for jewelry, the “Because Of You” opted for two gold hoop earrings and a collection of gold chains for some extra boho-chic style. Kelly styled her blonde hair parted down the middle with feathered layers brushed away from her face. To complete the whole look, she went for some seriously dramatic makeup complete with full lashes, her signature nude lip, and a funky green smokey eye. Although we adore this incredible makeup look, we still love when Kelly goes au natural with a makeup-free selfie.
