We have some good news to share: Kelly Clarkson is returning to coach on The Voice very, very soon.

For the past two weeks, the “Stronger” singer has been absent from the singing competition series. As folks may know, the 38-year-old singer-songwriter began feeling under the weather while taping the hit NBC show. But instead of leaving her Voice team without a mentor, she called her good friend and country music star Kelsea Ballerini. After flying in from Nashville, Kelsea sat in Kelly’s red chair and took the lead during the battle rounds.

Now, two episodes later, Kelly’s ready to return on Monday’s new episode. The daytime TV host made the announcement on Twitter following The Voice’s latest episode.

“You are doing such an amazing job @KelseaBallerini!! Thank you for taking great care of #TeamKelly for me See y’all next week! #TheVoice,” she tweeted.

Without question, Kelly’s fans were excited to hear from her and took to social media to share their thoughts about the temporary guest coach. “We miss you being there, Kelly. But Kelsea is doing a great job on your behalf!” one person wrote. “I love that y’all are friends. She’s a great fill in, KC! They need to get her a chair too,” a different fan said.

What a great duo! Safe to say, Kelsea put Kelly in a strong place during the battle rounds, advancing artists like Gihanna Zoë, Ryleigh Modig, Savanna Woods and Corey Ward. Though it’ll be sad to see Kelsea go, we’re so happy to hear Kelly is coming back soon. After all, she’s going to need to bring her coaching A-game if she wants to beat fellow coaches Nick Jonas, John Legend and Blake Shelton this year.
