Kelly Clarkson Fans Call Her Out for “Flirting” With 'Outlander' Star Sam Heughan

Is there a new celebrity relationship in the works? If Kelly Clarkson had her way, quite possibly ... with Outlander star Sam Heughan, who's famously played Jamie Fraser on the hit Starz series for the last six seasons.
On June 7, the Scottish actor stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show to talk about all things Outlander, vacationing and his upcoming film It's All Coming Back to Me. After Kelly kicked off their conversation by discussing exploring Scotland in the summer and their shared love of driving on a roundabout, the American Idol alum revealed her love for Sam's hit series.
"Oh my God, it's such a good show. Thank you, mom," she said, sharing that was who introduced her to the historical drama. "It was years ago. I was like, 'This is awesome.' I just love mystic time travel. I'm into it."
Kelly then brought up the news that Outlander hires intimacy coaches for the cast to which Sam discussed the journey of working through very intimate scenes throughout the years. Now, this is when things started to get interesting, thanks to potential flirting from the singer.
"[Intimacy coaching] takes you as the actor out of the equation and makes it easier to just get into this," Sam told Kelly (a bit flustered, we might add). "It can be quite awkward for not only the actors but the crew who have to stand there and watch you guys for hours."
If the interaction between the Men in Kilts host and "Since U Been Gone" singer weren't enough, the former Voice coach took her flirting up a notch when she responded to him, "I can compartmentalize well. It would be fine." As if the chemistry between these two wasn't already palpable! Given her long-time love of Outlander (and her crush on Sam), maybe this meet-cute could be the start of something more? It doesn't look like Kelly would necessarily be against it ...
She's not the only one who could be rooting for this potential new romance. When the show uploaded the segment to its official YouTube channel, fans were quick to jump on the Kelly and Sam bandwagon. "That chemistry…. Go get it Kelly!” one fan commented. "Oh come on!! If I were Kelly I could definitely not keep my composure like she did. Sam is soooo gorgeous, oh my God! I just love him... I want that quilt with his face though 😂,” another replied. And one fan just wanted to ask the obvious question: “Oh my God, are they flirting?”
Only time will tell if the duo will actually become TV's newest celebrity couple ... or if Kelly will continue tuning into Starz like the rest of us.
