Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock's divorce hasn't exactly been going smoothly (last we heard, Kelly lost her attempt to evict him from their Montana home), and it won't be settled anytime soon.

A source tells Us Weekly that Kelly is "devoting 100 percent of any free time she has preparing for the trial" and that "when not filming her talk show, she is hunkered down with [attorney] Laura Wasser.”

Kelly filed for divorce back in June 2020, and she and Brandon agreed on a custody arrangement in November of that same year. But their financial agreements haven't been smooth sailing, and Kelly doesn't plan to budge. “She will not even entertain the idea of settling with Brandon,” the source says. “He will not get one penny from her that isn’t ordered by the judge. It’s going to be nasty.”

Again, Kelly lost a recent attempt to have Brandon evicted from their Montana ranch, with a source explaining that “Kelly recently had a major legal setback in a bid to get Brandon evicted from the Montana property that the judge awarded solely to her. He has been living in it and said he doesn’t have the financial means to afford to purchase a residence of his own at this time, citing the unresolved financial aspect of their divorce.”

A trial over the ranch is going down next month, but Us Weekly reports that earlier this month Kelly agreed to give Brandon a 5.12 percent share of the property, or $908,800 of its $17,750,000 value.
