Kelly Bensimon gave Parade an update on the status of her wedding planning process.

The reality TV personality and real estate mogul has been engaged to fiancé Scott Litner for nearly four months now, and she says the plans for the wedding are starting to come along slowly but surely.

Bensimon, 55, talked exclusively with Parade while attending this year's BravoCon, where she spilled that she is currently "working on" getting things in order for her and Litner's nuptials.

But unlike most brides-to-be, the Real Housewives of New York alum tells us she is not the "typical bride," and that she has taken somewhat of a relaxed mindset for wedding planning.

"You have the bridezillas, and I'm just very laid back," she states, while noting that she actually is laid back in her personal life, despite being "an animal" when it comes to her career.

"Even my fiancé is like, 'When are we getting married?' And I was like, 'Oh, I don't know,'" she spills. "He's like, 'People are asking me!'"

"I'm like, 'We'll get to it,' and he's like, 'No, no, no, we need to get to it now!'" the very chill future bride tells us, while confirming that she still has it all under control.

"I'm like, OK, 'I'm working on it.' So I'm working on it," she adds.

Litner, a finance executive, dated Bensimon for roughly a year before getting down on one knee during the 4th of July weekend earlier this year.

The proposal happened while the duo was vacationing in her favorite childhood destination spot, Lake Geneva in Wisconsin.

Litner popped the question with a custom emerald-cut five-carat diamond, which we got a glimpse of during our chat with Bensimon at BravoCon—and yes, it is just as stunning as the photos!

"I never thought I could be so happy," Bensimon told E! News, calling her proposal a start to her "new beginning."

"We have a romance that people write novels about," she gushed about her future hubby. "I was so moved that he brought me to a special place from my childhood to propose."
