Kelli Giddish Posted Incredible Personal News With Her Husband and Fans Are “So Happy”

It looks like art is imitating life for Law and Order: SVU star Kelli Giddish.
It's been a few weeks since fans saw the actress reprise her role as Detective Amanda Rollins, surprising viewers with the news that she was expecting her first child with onscreen husband Dominick "Sonny" Carisi (Peter Scanavino). Well, it looks like her character isn't the only one pregnant. On June 1, Kelli excitedly announced in a new Instagram post that she also has a baby on the way with her real-life husband Beau Richards, who she married in November 2021.
In a black-and-white selfie of the couple, Kelli is seen planting a kiss on Beau's face while also revealing the sex of their child. "Can’t wait to welcome our baby boy soon! @botorious," she captioned the photo.
When Law and Order: SVU fans heard about Kelli's family news, they rushed to the comments section to voice their excitement.

"So sooooooooo happy for you and Beau!!! I can’t even explain!! Luckiest kid ever!! 💛💛💛," one person wrote on Instagram. "OMG CONGRATS KELLI THIS LITERALLY SHOCKED ME 😭 I thought your pregnancy was for the show … I’m so happy for you," a different follower said. "Oh Kelli, that’s fantastic! I’m so happy for you! Sending love …❤️," another added.
While Kelli didn't give an exact timeline of when the baby is due, he won't be the actress' first child. Her newest addition will join older sons Ludo and Charlie who she shares with her ex-husband Lawrence Faulborn. What's more, she may have already alluded to the next phase in her life before anyone properly realized.
When speaking to Variety after leaving the NBC drama in December 2022, Kelli inferred that Rollins' exit felt ideal given what was going on behind the scenes. "I am so excited about things going on in my personal life and kind of the mirroring of what’s going on in my personal life and in Rollins'," she told the outlet at the time. "There’s a lot of joy to be experienced."
