Every time a new episode of the Keke Palmer-led game show Password comes out, there's a new manicure to look at. Yes, I'm seeing a pattern here! And this time it's houndstooth.

For the latest episode of her NBC series, Palmer went for yet another vintage-inspired outfit, rocking bedazzled cat-eye glasses, a houndstooth miniskirt, feather-detailed top, and patent-leather red belt. The whole look was totally reminiscent of The Nanny's Fran Fine, especially her patterned manicure.

Long and almond-shaped, the black-and-white patterned nails feature a touch of red to tie in the belt. Actually, it's more than a touch—but this is the kind of manicure that plays some tricks on you. Split vertically, one half of each of Palmer's nails is painted the houndstooth pattern, while the other half is painted nude with a scarlet French tip (or half of one, anyway). The two designs are divided by a thin white line.

The 30-year-old often works with nail artist Bria Monae for her manicures. An expert in all things pattern (and all things art in general), Monae very well could've been the brains behind this operation. It's hard to tell, as there's no saying when the episode was filmed, but I do know the artist can craft a killer split French manicure.

In the comments section of Palmer's outfit/episode-reveal post, fans immediately commented on how stellar she looked. "Red has never looked this good," wrote the glasses brand Zenni Optical, reminding readers that the host was rocking their glasses in the SKU 4453418 ("just what I was looking for" a fan responded).

To finish the look, the Nope actress wore bouncy curls and an ombré, crimson-to-scarlet dark rose lip.

"You and red are soulmates omg," added another commenter. And houndstooth. And purple. And anything else she puts on. You know it's your girl.
