Keke Palmer speaks out after her boyfriend publicly threw shade at her

Keke Palmer had the most iconic return to social media, following her boyfriend Darius Jackson publicly throwing shade at her outfit, prompting many fans to rush to her defence.

In a tweet posted last night (5th July), Darius quote tweeted a video of Keke dancing at an Usher concert and captioned it: "It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom."

The outfit in question? Keke was wearing a sheer black patterned long sleeved dress over a black thong bodysuit, complete with black heels and silver jewellery, which she looked beyond incredible in.

Following Darius's tweet many Keke fans rushed to her defence, with many claiming he was throwing shade at her, with one person commenting: "A hot mom you a lucky man! She looks better than ever and seems to feel good in her skin too."

And another asked: "Whats wrong with the fit?" And another questioned why Darius was making the comments about Keke on a public forum.

Darius later followed up on his initial tweet, adding: "We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.

"This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case."

Keke has now spoken out for the first time since Darius' comments, by sharing a number of pictures of herself in the outfit from the Usher gig on her Instagram.

She captioned the post: "Wish I had taken more pictures but we were running late! I am telling y'all right now, if you haven't seen @usher YOU MUST GO!! HE WAS SO FABULOUS!! Giving theater, Atlanta downnn, tips and tricks and just absolutely iconic. I was truly inspired as a performer. I whooped some ass in spades too! Where is that pic of us all together with the King himself?? @noraradd."

Her comment section was full of fellow celebs praising her, with Usher thanking her for attending the show, H.E.R said she looked "amazing" and Skai Jackson said: "Love this 😍".

Fans were obsessed with Keke's post, with one person commenting: "SHE’s MOTHERING😍😍😍😍😍" and another saying: "You are WEARING that dress, QUEEN." We couldn't agree more.

Keke has not commented further on Darius' tweets.

Keke began dating Darius, a fitness instructor, in 2021, when they met at a Memorial Day party, and went Instagram official in August that same year.

Earlier this year they welcomed their first child together, a son named Leodis who was born in February.
