Keke Palmer made a play for the power suit trend while attending a For Your Consideration event for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Sunday. The actress was joined by late-night talk show’s host Jimmy Fallon at the Pacific Design Center.
For the event, Palmer fashioned a selection from the Michael Kors Collection. The “Nope” star wore a monochrome lilac suit with tailored trousers, blazer and matching dress shirt. Palmer completed the look with matching pointed toe pumps by Casadei.

As for her accessories, the actress kept it simple, donning a pair of small hoop earrings by Dries Criel and a few rings by Misho. Palmer kept the color scheme of her look going with matching glasses and eye makeup by Kenya Alexis. Her look was curated by stylist and costume designer Seth Chernoff. Along with sharing the stage with Fallon, Palmer posed for a snapshot with “The Tonight Show” host.
This isn’t the first time Palmer has opted for a power suit moment. At the 55th NAACP Image Awards on March 16, Palmer fashioned a look inspired by the late singer Sammy Davis Jr. The actress wore an oversize white dinner coat by Tom Ford with a white dress shirt and a black bowtie. She paired the coat with wide-leg black trousers. The look was also styled by Chernoff.
Several high-profile women have fashioned their own iteration of the power suit, as of late. On Sunday, Princess Charlene of Monaco was photographed in her take on the trend, wearing a Ralph Lauren jacket double-breasted with a pair of sleek white trousers. While attending the Watches and Wonders event on April 9, model Gisele Bündchen wore a monochrome cropped white double-breasted blazer and flared wide-leg pleated trousers for her power suit moment.
Monochrome power suits have made a statement and accentuated the individual style and preferred color-scape for a few high-profile figures. It’s a trend with classic elements that never seems to go out of style.
