Keke Palmer is doing more than just accepting her postpartum body — she’s celebrating it.

The Nope star, who just welcomed her first son Leo with boyfriend Darius Jackson, took to Instagram on Friday to share a video of herself loving her new curves. She captioned the video, “Hips? NEVER HAD EM’! Boobs? Never had em’! Booty? BARELY. Thanks son.”

The Nickelodeon alum also shared in the video, “Last time I spoke to y’all, I was letting y’all know that my son cleared my skin up. Skin is still skin-ing. And now I’m ’bout to let y’all know that he gave me something else…B-b-b-body.”

While Palmer may ooze self confidence, it has taken her a while to get to this place.

Back in 2012, when Palmer was 19, she paired with Dove for their "Campaign for Real Beauty," which was all about promoting confidence. At the time, she told Teen Vogue she was inspired because she was "bullied a lot as a kid in school from kindergarten up to third grade."

"I know what it feels like to be left out and to want to be different—more so, to want to not be different and want to just fit in. As a teenager, you second-guess yourself," she said at the time. "On top of that, being in movies and on television can make me even more self-conscious because so many people are looking at me, and I don't know what they're thinking. People can be overly critical."

Palmer has also long spoken out about dealing with adult acne, which she says stem from her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis. PCOS is caused by an imbalance of hormones, and it can cause skin issues as well as symptoms like weight gain, facial hair and irregular periods.

In a December 2020 Instagram post, Palmer shared a makeup-free photo of herself experiencing a skin breakout. She spoke about the challenge of finding answers from doctors about what might be wrong during her skin struggles.

“The least harmful thing PCOS can bring is acne,” she said. “To all the people struggling with this please know you’re not alone and that you are still so f*****g fine! MY ACNE AINT NEVER STOPPED ME. But we don’t have accept this. Now I can really help KEKE! And I love her so it’s ON.”

In December 2022, Palmer joked on Instagram about needing to find a plastic surgery solution for her skin issues, the way people do when they want to change other parts of their body.

“I woke up and chose VIOLENCE. We want the QUICK FIX as well,” she wrote of people trying to manage their acne. “My homegirl’s walking out the hospital with a DONK same day. I want INSTANT results too, WHATS TEA??? All these years!! Plastic surgeons, y’all wanna know where the real money at? IN CLEARING UP ACNE. Enough with all the hard work of having to find the PERFECT diet and trying to get an expensive facial every other day. Give us the plastic surgery we’re begging for, and make it possible for black skin as well… I need the dual love.”
