What to do when you keep getting ghosted

22-year-old Taylyn is a self-proclaimed serial dater who has encountered an (unfortunately) very common dating mishap — ghosting.
Taylyn calls Thorgy Thor (who’s here to help) and Jujubee (who’s here for a paycheck) on the Love Hotline to talk through her rough patch.
“Every guy I talk to just raises the stakes right out of the gate,” Taylyn explains, “offering me trips and proposals and gifts and all this stuff, and then out of nowhere something happens and they ghost me.”
Taylyn says that a good example of these over-the-top moments is when a guy, who she had met on Christmas Eve, drove seven hours to see her perform and then never contacted her again.
“Maybe he’s gay,” Jujubee suggests.
“I get into my head a lot, like ‘why didn’t they call me back?’ and ‘why didn’t they respond to me?'” Thorgy says. “Then I’ll meet up with them later and they’ll be like, ‘oh actually, I lost that phone.’ Then I feel like, ‘oh…'”
“I definitely have that tendency,” Taylyn agrees.
“Maybe he also drove off a cliff,” Thorgy proposes.
“I called him and I was like, ‘he better be on fire if he doesn’t answer this after standing me up twice,'” Taylyn jokes.
“Twice!? Oh, baby, no — accept it and move forward,” says Jujubee. “Don’t let boys treat you like that EVER.”
This week’s anonymous questions deal with how to handle your significant other snooping through your phone and how much your parents’ opinion should matter in terms of your dating life (to which Jujubee says, “Are you 13?”).
