Keanu Reeves Finding Out Scientists Named Bacteria After Him Is As Wholesome As It Gets

The 'Matrix' star gives fans more reasons to adore him.
Keanu Reeves had a delightful response to learning a bacteria was named after him.
The actor, who was promoting the upcoming fourth John Wick movie, did a Reddit AMA where he responded to many fans' questions, giving previously-unheard of insight into both his career and personal life.
However, one question taught Reeves something about his legacy that he didn't know about.
Redditor mrweb06 asked The Matrix star:
"Hey Keanu, Researchers from Germany found a compound naturally produced by some type of bacteria that is so effective at killing fungi, they named it after you: keanumycins.
Quote:“The lipopeptides kill so efficiently that we named them after Keanu Reeves because he, too, is extremely deadly in his roles,” Götze said in a statement.What are your thoughts about that? Also, have a good day."

Reeves was surprised to hear the news.
"...Hi, thank you…they should’ve called it John Wick…but that’s pretty cool…and surreal for me," he wrote. "But thanks, scientist people! Good luck, and thank you for helping us."
Elsewhere in the AMA, Reeves had an adorable exchange with someone who said their wife wants to be Reeves' wife. "Ha!… No she doesn't," replied the humble actor.
He also shared a story about having a paranormal experience, noting, "When I was a little kid I was sitting in a room with a nanny and I thought I saw a ghost in the doorway and I looked over at my nanny and she looked really scared…I didn’t know what the heck was going on."
