Katy Perry’s snatched hairdo is giving us major secondary school vibes

Katy Perry is one of the lucky few people who can pull off just about any hairstyle. We've seen blonde Katy, wet-look shower hair Katy (no, just no – get your mind out of the gutter), Tinkerbell topknot Katy, and even, Katy Kardashian. And as a person who does in fact regularly keep up with the GOAT family, the last is my fav, ofc.
But that's not all. The pop star's most recent look is also worthy of noting and yet another to add to the ever-growing hair-spo roster. I'm going to need Rick Henry for that matter – celebrity hairstylist and the creator behind the singer's latest 'do – drop the deets and maybe even a tutorial, please.
The look has come to us via Katy's Instagram and the picture is providing all the early 00s secondly school vibes. Disclaimer: prepare for the nostalgia.
What makes it so Y2K is, firstly, the copious amount of hair gel used (I mean, as we can see below, her hair she is snatched to the Gods) and secondly, those two loosely curled strands just at ear level; I'm not sure why, but just like the side fringe, it was a thing we all loved to do.

To achieve this very simple year nine-esque look, all you need to do is pull your hair back into the sleekest bun or ponytail, add an abundance of gel and hairspray (and just when you think it's enough, it's not. Keep spraying). Finally, pull out two locks of hair at the sides of your face.
Oh, and make sure to add some gel to those strands too for that secondary school je ne sais quoi. *Chefs kiss*.
