Katy Perry Just Sent Taylor Swift a Literal Olive Branch
The Katy Perry–Taylor Swift "feud" appears to be over.
Swift took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday (May 8) and revealed that Perry sent her a literal olive branch and a note saying she was ready to "clear the air" over their miscommunications.
"So I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch," Swift said on Instagram Stories. (She's currently in Glendale, Arizona, about to kick off the first night of her Reputation tour.) "This means so much to me." She captioned the video with, "Thank you, Katy" and a simple pink heart emoji.

Perry hasn't responded to Swift's Instagram Story yet, but this more or less confirms that whatever drama was happening between her and Swift is over now. If you recall, Perry said in May 2017 that her and Swift's four-year-old feud started because of a misunderstanding between backup dancers who worked for both singers. This incident was reportedly the inspiration behind Swift's hit 2014 song, "Bad Blood," and Perry supposedly responded with her track "Swish Swish" last year.
This is the first time in years Swift has publicly acknowledged this "beef." Perry, on the other hand, spoke at length about it when she was promoting her album Witness last year. "Listen, I’d love for the beef to end. I’d love to take it off the barbecue," Perry told Sirius XM's The Morning Mashup in 2017.
Perry and Swift's fans, naturally, are freaking out over this news.
Many of these people are saying what's exactly on my mind now: It's time for these two pop queens to collaborate. They're each music-making talents in their own rights, and a song between them would be fire. And chart-topping!
It looks like we don't have bad blood anymore, guys.
