Katy Perry Just Committed to Her Pixie Haircut by Going Shorter Than Ever

Katy Perry has been on a roll with her beauty look lately. We're not saying it's a by-product of her recent change in relationship status, but there's nothing like an update after a big life change—and she's been having a field day with her hair lately. Of course, Perry's always been down to experiment with her hair color, but these shifts have been more dramatic than usual.
First, she switched to that platinum blond color of our dreams back in February. Then, in March, hairstylist to everyone famous Chris McMillan (who's known for his short haircuts and masterminded Miley Cyrus's pixie back in 2012) took her lob to a pixie—and not just any pixie. It's a pixie with an undercut, which was inspired by Michelle Williams's iconic cut but, in typical Katy Perry fashion, buzzed on either side of her head. It doesn't get much edgier than that—and that's a whole lot of change in a very short amount of time.
If you thought Perry was going to stop there, she just proved you (and us) very wrong—because she just debuted a new, even shorter haircut on her Instagram.
The super-short pixie is once again the work of McMillan (natch), and while the cut is garnering some varied opinions on the Instagram post, we're feeling it. It's simple, perfect for summer, and as low-maintenance as a haircut will ever get. Our only real concern is that she'll figure out another hairstyle come May and leave this one behind. Will it be a wig? Another color? Extensions? The sky's the limit when it comes to Perry—and we love her for it.
