This is how she does. Katy Perry marked National Coming Out Day on Wednesday, October 11, by helping facilitate a proposal for two mega fans during her Witness tour stop in Brooklyn, New York.

The Grammy winner, 32, welcomed the fans—Katy (yes, that’s her name) and girlfriend Becky—to the stage for the adorable surprise. “I don’t know if you’ve seen Becky, but she’s pretty without even any makeup. And she’s perfect,” Katy told Perry. As the audience screamed and roared in the Barclay’s Center, Katy then got down on one knee right after posing the question, “Becky, will you marry me?”

Perry added, “Say yes, Becky, if you want to get married!”

The singer later added that Katy had planned the surprise by writing an email to Perry about wanting to propose on-stage in time for Becky’s birthday. “Love is beautiful,” Perry concluded as she hugged the two. “You guys are beautiful.”

The “I Kissed a Girl” singer has long remained an advocate of the LGBTQ community, and even received the National Equality Award from the Human Rights Campaign this past March. “It’s time to lead with empathy and grace and compassion now more than ever to find the unity we need now,” Perry said while accepting the award in Los Angeles. “I’ll never cease to be a champion, an ally, a spotlight, and a loving voice for all LGBTQ-identifying people.”
