Perry embraced a cozy chic vibe for the taping of Carol Burnett's birthday special.

Do you ever feel like wearing an outfit that’s perfect enough to brave a red carpet and a snowstorm? Because if so, Katy Perry resurrected just the gown.

The singer took a break from her American Idol judge duties to attend the taping of Carol Burnett's birthday special, Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love.

It was a star-studded affair with Julie Andrews, Bernadette Peters, Billy Porter, Jane Lynch, Sutton Foster, Sofia Vergara, Cher and Kristin Chenoweth in attendance, along with the woman of the hour herself.

And everyone was dressed to impress—including Perry, whose fashion choices are always bold and attention-grabbing.

For the special occasion held at the Avalon Hollywood & Bardot in Los Angeles, the “Harleys in Hawaii” songstress stepped out in a vintage piece that made heads turn due to its theatrical inspiration.

Perry was a sight to see on the red carpet in a Bob Mackie Couture gown that featured a velvet beaded hood and striped crystals throughout, ensuring that she radiated like a firework.

According to RCFA, it was originally designed in 1989 for the San Francisco Opera’s 1989 production of Lulu.

Per TV Insider, the big event is set to air on NBC on Wednesday, April 26, 2023: the comedy legend's 90th birthday. The two-hour show is described as a "career retrospective," featuring Burnett's friends, colleagues, and fans for a selection of musical performances and tributes, including Perry.
