​Katy Perry's Parents Showed Up on American Idol

Katy Perry's parents Mary Christine and Maurice Keith Hudson showed up on American Idol, and wasted no time insulting their daughter-in both a "hahaha, MOMS!" way and also a "wait, seriously WTF, guys" way.

The duo, who are in their seventies, didn't hold back at all, musing "She's still the bird, she's still mouthy" and "She's the middle child, they always want the most attention."

Katy's mom also implied that the men on American Idol (namely Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan) are more qualified than their daughter, saying "they add wisdom" to her mouthiness. UM. OKAY, MOM.

Meanwhile Katy was in the background doing a full body cringe, and at one point yelled out "I feel like it's turned out okay for them!"
