Katy Perry Admits She Googles "Katy Perry Hot" When She's Feeling Insecure

Katy Perry makes one thing abundantly clear on her Instagram: She's a hilarious, relatable queen. In lieu of polished, publicist-approved posts, Perry opts for more candid moments—like Snapchat mashups, videos of puppies wearing tiny suits, and A-plus selfies. She's basically all of us trolling Tumblr at 2 A.M. for weird GIFs. (The only difference is she has 60 million followers favoriting her stuff, and we have...well, not that.)

But Perry's latest social media move is more relatable than even her funniest meme. In fact, it's so regular that you'll probably say "Girl, same" out loud as soon as you see it. Here it is: Perry Googles "hot" photos of herself when she's feeling insecure. (You just said, "Girl, same," didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?)

Perry sneakily revealed this fact on Instagram on Tuesday night (April 4). A few days before, she posted a silly throwback photo of herself and claimed it was the cover of her fourth album (but it was just an April Fool's joke). She followed this up with a close-up picture of her recent face massage, which she captioned, "WHEN UR ROLLIN CALLS WITH UR A&R BUT TRYING TO MASSAGE THE STRESS OUT YA JAW." Both of these snaps are great, but it seems Perry felt self-conscious about them...because she posted a "hot" picture of herself shortly after.

"Was feeling insecure about my last two posts so," Perry captioned the pic, which appears to be from a photo shoot. If you look at the top of the post, you'll see that Perry literally typed "Katy Perry hot" to find this specific image.

We can all relate to this on some level. Of course, most of us don't have as extensive Google search results as Perry, but we're all guilty of looking at good photos of ourselves when we're feeling upset—which is exactly what Perry is copping to. And that's pretty damn refreshing, given that many celebrities claim they don't Google themselves at all. (Lies!)

Building self-esteem is hard—and yes, even for celebrities. Thanks for keeping it real, Katy Perry. Do what you 'gotta do to feel like a teenage dream.
