Katie Stevens and Paul DiGiovanni Are Married
Wedding bells are ringing for The Bold Type’s Katie Stevens and Boys Like Girls guitarist and music producer Paul DiGiovanni! The longtime couple of almost six years tied the knot in Nashville on Saturday, October 12, E! News reports.
As noted by People, Katie wore a lacy form-fitting Flora gown with sheer long sleeves, accompanied by L’Dezen jewels. The actor kept her wavy brown hair down with a sleek side part, and wore smoky eyeshadow offset by a lighter, pale lip.
Katie and Paul exchanged vows in front of a star-studded crowd of 250 people, which included Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams, Betty Who, Olivia Holt, Katie’s Bold Type co-stars, and Paul’s Boys Like Girls bandmates. And it appears as though this love story was one many years in the making; Katie knew that Paul was “the one” pretty early on. “After dating for a couple months, I knew [he was going to be] my husband,” the actor told People, noting that their first date was five and a half years ago. “From the second that I met him up until now, he’s made me feel special and more than enough every single day.”
The couple got engaged during a 2018 vacation to Switzerland, as Katie recounted during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers a few months later. “He had the ring in his pocket for days,” she said. “He was smart by letting me plan our day.”
According to Katie, Paul surprised her during a mountain hike with a letter he had written years earlier but had instructed her not to open until a future date. Inside, it said: “Katie, marry me?”
It sure seems like these two were meant to be. Congrats to Katie and Paul!
