Katie Holmes Wore the Most Impractical Coat for New York's Huge Blizzard

Katie Holmes looks cold. Normally the pioneer of the cashmere bra makes anything work for any season, but even she couldn't put on a strong front for the major snowstorm that made its way through New York City last night. Right before snow began to fall, Holmes was spotted wearing her favorite face mask with her latest go-to, Nanushka's Lana double-breasted wool-blend coat, while clutching onto herself for warmth.
Camel coats like the Nanushka one Holmes has been wearing on repeat for weeks are a seasonal staple. Everyone needs a good camel coat in their wardrobe rotation come September. Typically, they're not what we would wear to face an extreme blizzard but Holmes does love to get the internet talking. And listen, maybe she's onto something.
A good double-breasted coat looks great on its own, but when winter is at its worst, it can easily be worn underneath a huge puffer coat like the ones Jennifer Aniston has been wearing for years. It's also easy enough to throw over an oversized sweater, a cozy turtleneck, or both. And while Holmes seems to have just underestimated the pre-snow weather, she did inspire us to try our best to look chic in inclement weather. Frosty the Snowman could never.
