Spring has finally sprung in New York, and if Suri Cruise’s coat-color choice is any indication, she is very excited about it. Katie Holmes and her daughter were photographed in the city on Tuesday, with Cruise looking especially springy in a pink pleated peacoat and floral dress, which, along with a bow in her hair, has become her signature style over the years.
Holmes wore a longer, camel-colored version of the peacoat, along with Gucci loafers and a structured white bag. She posted a photo to her Instagram showing the pair at DJ Quintero’s salon that day captioning the photo with the hashtag “salon days.”

Yes, Suri Cruise is now old enough to hail her own cab (and can probably order an Uber with the best of them). She’s also old enough to be politically conscious, as Holmes recently told Jenna Bush Hagar that her daughter was upset with the outcome of the presidential election. “I thought Hillary was going to win this year, and it was such a—it just hurt so badly when she didn’t,” she said. “And I know that it hurt my child so much as a 10-year-old, and it really made me think, Oh we have a lot . . . a long way to go as women.”
