Katie Holmes Shows Us How to Master the Power Suit

Katie Holmes has done it again.

The 40-year-old Dawson’s Creek alum made us reconsider the boundaries of dressy-casual with her latest outfit: a millennial pink linen power suit. Sure, it seems like an off-season choice here, but Holmes is currently enjoying the sun in Australia (it’s spring there) so linen is more than fitting.

Holmes paid a visit to the Ronald McDonald House in Westmead, Sydney, today ahead of McHappy Day. She’s helping the charity raise money to better assist families in need and will even be doing a McDonald’s meet and greet tomorrow in Haberfield, Sydney if you happen to find yourself in Australia.

The actress selected the Zimmermann super eight jacket ($1,150) and wide leg trouser ($595) from the Australian brand’s just-released resort 2020 collection. She appears to have chosen Zimmermann’s Kirra racer knit tank ($210) to complete the chic look. Although you can’t tell in this photo, Holmes topped the outfit with Hunting Season’s Gigi leopard-print tote bag ($929) and black pointed-toe suede heels and called it a day. Her look is professional and polished, while also relaxed and comfortable. It’s a total win-win.

If you’re in the market for a Holmes-esque suit of your own at a more modest price, we found the DKNY asymmetrical shawl collar single-button blazer ($129) and DKNY belted slim-leg pants ($99) to be a pretty close dupe.

Our only question? What will she wear for her event tomorrow (because we can’t wait to copy it)?

Katie Holmes for the win yet again.
