Katie Holmes Kicks Her Street Style Into High Gear Ahead of Fashion Week

No one is enjoying fashion right now more than Katie Holmes. After becoming an accidental influencer last week thanks to her on-trend cashmere bra from Khaite, Holmes kick-started New York Fashion Week with a striking new look. At Zimmermann’s Soho party last night, Holmes arrived in a lacy black dress with a handkerchief hemline from the Australian label and an oversized black blazer. A departure from the bohemian pieces she once favored, the sleek combination showcased another side of the actress’ persona.

While Holmes has always been style conscious—it wasn’t too long ago that she and stylist Jeanne Yang were showing their Holmes Yang collections—with her recent outfits, she’s treading new ground. Currently embracing insider-approved labels such as Acne Studios, Orseund Iris, and Ulla Johnson, she’s hit her street style stride. This Zimmerman number continues the all-black theme she’s been working with of late, and sets the bar high for the remainder of fashion week.
