It's no secret that Katie Holmes likes to keep the details of her personal life private, and that includes publicly speaking about her 14-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise. So, it came as a very welcome surprise when the actress provided a rare update about how they've been adjusting to life in quarantine together.
Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, Holmes was limited on what she was willing to share, but did reveal a couple of tidbits. "I like to keep her out of my interviews, but I will say that this time of quarantine has been such a lesson," Katie said, adding: "Just really looking at everything you have and celebrating the simplicity of making dinner and [spending] that time together."
Back in April, at the height of the pandemic in New York, Katie celebrated Suri's birthday with an at-home party, which consisted of flower crowns and a homemade decorations. "It was a beautiful moment," the 41-year-old told Entertainment Tonight about the low-key festivities. "This year is a reminder that the simple things are really beautiful. I think when you have less, you are more creative."

She continued, "This lockdown has had a lot of silver linings."
