Katie Holmes debuted a dramatic new pixie cut
We love a lady that’s not afraid to change up her look in a dramatic way, which is why we are officially obsessed with Katie Holmes’ new pixie cut, which she debuted yesterday.
The actress told People.com that her stunning hair transformation is for an upcoming movie role, but it seems that going under the scissors is the easiest part for her.
“I’m getting ready to play a woman in a movie called The Doorman. She’s an ex-Marine and she’s a warrior. I’m excited. I’m training. I’m sore.”
Her hairstylist, DJ Quintero, revealed that Katie wanted “find a balance between something feminine but kickass,” because of how hard she’s been working. All we can say is, slay girl!

While The Doorman isn’t slated for release until sometime next year, we already can’t wait to see how Katie will style her new short ‘do. She’s always been something of a style chameleon when it comes to her hair (though she’s pretty much always kept her signature glossy brunette color). Here are a few of her best looks from over the years.
There was the gorgeous wavy lob she was most recently rocking.
Before that, she gave us ’60s volume and blunt bangs, almost making us grab the scissors.
Then there was this super sleek mid-length look that we loved.
And of course, a Katie signature: The low-key ponytail, which reminds us of her days as Joey Potter on Dawson’s Creek.
Who could forget the time she single-handedly made the structured bob the ultimate “it girl” hair?! (We’re still not over it!)
