Katie Holmes hit the streets of France wearing a little black suit and we're kind of obsessed with the whole look.

The 44-year-old actress and filmmaker was photographed at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, May 18, in an '80s-inspired baggy black suit jacket and matching pencil skirt that had a zipper running up the center, creating an illusion of a thigh-high split seam. Finishing off the look with a matching black leather clutch, a set of long silver earrings, and textured fuchsia kitten heels with a silver detail, she could not have looked any more fabulous.

As for her glam, the Dawson's Creek alum opted for a bold red lip and classic smokey eye while keeping her hair out of her face in a sleek pulled-back style.

During her appearance at the event, the Rare Objects star opened up about the possibility of a Dawson's Creek reboot and revealed that there had been numerous talks about the show's return. "There have been many discussions over the years. We all loved the experience," she said.

According to Holmes, the original cast and crew want to work on a reboot, but only when the timing is right. "We've often talked about it. For now, we kind of just keep saying that until there is a real reason to do it, it hasn't been something where people have said, 'This is the take on it," she said.

However, the actress also shared hesitations about reprising the show, in which she portrayed writer Joey Potter. "There's a protection that comes along with discussion. The show is a time capsule. To put it into today's world might tarnish it a little bit," Holmes explained. "It was right before everyone had a phone and social media and all of that, so there was an innocence that was there between the characters that was one of the things I think people liked about the show. To put it into the setting of today's world, I'm not sure."
