The term “model-turned-mogul” may not have been coined to describe Kathy Ireland, but if the shoe fits.... As you may recall, this beauty came to fame in the 80s and 90s, when she graced the covers of magazines from Cosmo to Italian Vogue to Sports Illustrated (13 times, in a swimsuit).
Since 1993, Ireland has run her own global lifestyle company (for which she made the cover of another magazine: Forbes). We love her retail lines—home goods, sleepwear, luggage, wellness products, and more. So we were thrilled when she offered to turn us on to some of the items she’s been loving during this tricky year of quarantine.
Here are Kathy Ireland’s 2020 go-tos.
Burt’s Bees Charcoal Detoxifying Mask
Social distancing: good for civic health, not so good for your complexion. “Running around wearing a mask, sometimes I get ‘macne,’ mask-acne,” says Ireland. She turns to Burt’s Bees’ Detoxifying Masks to clear up the situation. “I love them because they’re organic, they feel good on your skin. I can also multi-task while doing a mask—I love that.”
In packs of six, these make a great “break-apart” gift for Christmas stockings.

Tweezerman Slant Tweezers
Ireland smiles and acknowledges the downside of her famously bold brows: “I really only have one eyebrow—two is an illusion,” she says.
The former model and her monobrow go back a long way: “I’ve been plucking it since I was about ten years old.” Her tweezers? Tweezerman—they get the job done. “I’ve been through several brands, and this one really works,” she says.

Organyc 100% Organic Cotton Rounds
“We think about what we put in our bodies, what we’re eating,” says Ireland. What’s also important? “What we put on our skin.” For Ireland, Organyc’s Cotton Rounds, which are chemical free and only $3, are an easy choice that’s right in line with her holistic approach. “I love these because they’re organic..they’re soft, and that makes me more motivated to take my makeup off at the end of the day.”

Kahwa Coffee Mistral Medium Roast Espresso Blend
Coffee is key when you’re working from home. And Ireland likes hers strong. “I love Kahwa coffee because it’s so potent,” she says. “It wakes me up in the morning.” Powerful, delicious, and socially conscious, in fact. “This is a wonderful company, and they’re very philanthropic,” Ireland explains. “Not only is it the best-tasting coffee, but they support the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.”

Kathy Ireland Women’s Long Sleeve Shirt and Lounge Pajama Pants Sleep Set
Since comfort clothes are pretty much all were wearing these days—and Ireland makes such luscious sleepwear—we were thrilled for this recommendation. “What we wear closest to our skin, it truly is intimate,” she points out. So, “it’s got to be well made.... I love our sleepwear—these are beautiful products.” This perfect set comes in six different wintry patterns, with colors ranging from pale pink to bright red to black-and-white (shown). You can find a print that’s just right for everyone on your holiday list.
Happy shopping!
