Kathy Griffin Shares Photo From the Hospital in Health Update on Easter

The comedian was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021.

Kathy Griffin spent her Easter weekend in the hospital, giving fans a brief update on her health.

The Suddenly Susan actress, 62, shared a photo of herself in the hospital moments before getting an MRI. 

The Instagram snap captured her sitting in the hallway of a medical facility wrapped up in a white blanket with a black face mask on. "Happy Easter??? Getting an MRI," the comedian wrote in the caption.

Griffin didn't state the reason behind her scan, however, many fans and celebrity friends took to the comments to show support for the actress, including television host, Ross Matthews, who wrote, "Sending you love! ❤️❤️❤️." 

Actor and comedian Michael Hitchcock also chimed in with a few words of encouragement: "❤️❤️❤️❤️ when the MRI gets really loud pretend you’re in a bangin’ club. Sending love! ❤️❤️❤️❤️."

Pulp Fiction actress Rosanna Arquette showed her concern by writing, "What’s up ? Are you ok. Love you," as Will & Grace star Debra Messing simply wrote, "Honey!"

"🙏🏼🌷sending you positive blessings," one fan wrote, while another added, "I know the MRI will only see a gigantic funny bone, loving heart, and bright, shining light ✨ 💚 Sending you healing energies ✨" 

"Sending healing vibes! 🙌🏼💕," a third fan added. 

Griffin was diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2021, announcing the news on Instagram.

"I've got to tell you guys something. I have cancer," Griffin wrote in the caption.

"I'm about to go into surgery to have half of my left lung removed. Yes, I have lung cancer even though I've never smoked! The doctors are very optimistic as it is stage one and contained to my left lung," she explained at the time.
