With a mom (Maria Shriver) descended from the Camelot-era Kennedys and a dad (you know, Ahnuld) who’s made history in the corridors of power as well as the multiplex, Katherine Schwarzenegger is the rare spawn of political and pop-culture royalty. With that lineage, no wonder she’s a woman with a serious head on her shoulders and her finger on the pulse.

A best-selling author of four inspirational books, Katherine’s also a political activist and an advocate for creatures large and small as an Ambassador for Best Friends Animal Society and the ASPCA.

But at the end of the day, she’s a wife (to hunky Hollywood A-lister Chris Pratt, thank you very much) and a mom who’s been spending a whole lot of time in the kitchen during these pandemic days. And she’s here to share some of the products that have been rocking her socially distanced world.

Be they ever so humble, a properly chosen set of dish towels can go a long way toward prettifying your family hearth. Urban Villa’s are super-absorbent, 100 percent cotton, and utterly irresistible. “These are one of my favorite things that I’ve discovered during quarantine,” says Schwarzenegger. “I love putting them in the kitchen to make it seem a little more cozy and, of course, to celebrate my favorite holiday, which is Christmas.” That would be the Christmas Checks color scheme, shown above, and there are 17 (!) other varieties too.

“I have been baking my whole life, watching my mom bake while I grew up,” Schwarzenegger recalls. “But when we started off in quarantine, I was rolling using glass water bottles!” She got wise thanks to this Fox Run model. For one thing, marble is nature’s original nonstick surface, no small thing when you’re trying to flatten out some tacky dough. It also features a matching wooden base and nylon ball bearings to ensure friction-free rolling, all the while adding a classy visual accent to your kitchen decor.

Oat milk is like a perfect storm of smart dietary choices—it’s free of dairy, soy, gluten, and nut by-products. Planet Oat is a super-delicious choice, drinkable on its own or in your cup of morning joe. But don’t believe us, believe La Schwarzenegger! “I’ve used it in my coffee for years and to get creative and comfortable in the kitchen, which has been really fun while making fancy-looking but simple recipes.”

Food blogger Gaby Dalkin knows a thing or two about proper food seasoning. In fact, she knows at least five, based on her yummy array of spice mixes from Williams-Sonoma. “I can’t live without this seasoning set,” Schwarzenegger says. “My favorite is definitely This Is Everything [garlic, onion, poppy seeds, and toasted white and black sesame seeds]. It’s been a total staple.” There’s also All Things Seafood, Taco Fajita Señorita, Gaby’s Go-To Blend, and All Things Meat. What are you waiting for? Get cooking!
