  • Katharine McPhee Foster isn't just busy launching a jewelry line, she's also hitting the streets of New York City in a trendy new set.

  • The singer, 38, showed off her sculpted core and a peek of her strong leg in a high-slit skirt paired with a crop top.

  • Kat is all about intuitive eating these days, and she's said that motherhood has helped her body image.

Katharine McPhee Foster is having a New York moment and she is looking more strong and confident than ever.

Kat, 38, posed outside FOX studios in a matching cream suit that is everything! The set paired a skirt with a high slit showing off Kat’s long, toned legs, with a cropped top. Kat threw the matching jacket over her shoulders and added a simple chain necklace that made her look polished and stunning!

Kat’s certainly very strong in this photo, from her head to her toes. And if you're wondering how she nourishes her body and soul, WH has got you covreed. First of all, Kat has definitely been very busy lately, what with running around after her son Rennie, who she shares with David Foster. But she makes time to fit in workouts with her personal trainer, Oscar Smith, who has previously dubbed the singer a "competitive athlete" because of the intensity she brings to her workouts, per Life & Style.

Their twice-weekly sessions together touched on a little bit of everything, and lasted a little over an hour. “For upper body, we would focus on a specific body part, then start off what I call ‘the Triangle,'” Smith said. For cardio, he has Kat doing jump rope sets, box jumps, sprints, and sometimes stair runs. Phew!

She's also shared her own videos on Instagram, showing everyone she's a total beast in the gym, doing a hard kettlebell workout. Kettlebells are great for all kinds of different workouts, like swings, single-leg Romanian deadlifts, Turkish get-ups, and squats, which Kat is doing in the vid. The move targets Kat's glutes and quads, but it can also tone the arms, back, and shoulders.

Kat, who rose to fame on American Idol when she was 21, has also shared that she struggled with an eating disorder in the past. She sought in-patient treatment and now focuses on intuitive eating, which means listening to what your body is telling you when it comes time to fuel up on good foods, rather than relying on external sources (like caloric numbers, etc), she told Yahoo.

She also told Today that her first trimester while pregnant was tricky, because she had to deal with her body's changes and her different appetite. "It was really a transition and balance for me to figure out the food stuff," she said. But motherhood has helped her body image.

“I came out of the pregnancy accepting, loving my body even more. So it was kind of an amazing journey for me to really struggle mentally, emotionally with my body changing and feeling uncomfortable with those changes and then coming out of it and doing photo shoots like a month after giving birth,” she told Yahoo.

Love it, Kat!
