If 2003 Lizzie McGuire could see me now, she would probably call me 'pathetic' because despite Kate Winslet being an outfit repeater, I am, indeed, an outfit rememberer... IYKYK. But as ever with the circle of life (read: the endless fashion trend cycle), re-wearing outfits is so in, again. Don't believe me? Well, everyone's fave The Holiday star just proved that very sentiment to be true with the most iconic red carpet look of hers to date. Sorry not sorry, Jude Law.
Confused, much? No need to be, for all it takes is one glance at Kate's floor-length ball gown from last week's highly-anticipated Avatar: The Way Of Water world premiere to know *exactly* what I'm talking about.
Said timeless ball gown is designed by the one and only Badgley Mischka and features a strappy halter neckline and beaded embellishments on the chest. Kate paired the look with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels, topped off with matching pearl drop Georgina Skan earrings.
Now, if you don't recognise the look by now, allow me to explain: Kate wore this very same dress back in 2015 to the premiere of The Dressmaker in Toronto. [Insert collective 'ahhh', here]. Just take a look at the nostalgic times below:
As the actor proves, some things simply never go out of fashion! And this 7-year-old look is, of course, one of those things.
I mean, even Kate Middleton, The Princess of Wales has re-worn some of her favourite and most memorable dresses and let's not get me started on the sorcery that is celebrity mother-daughter duos who are unwitting style twins.
As she once promised Jack, we, too, will never let go of this moment, Rose... I mean, Kate.
