It's Christmas in England, and Kensington Palace kicked the day off by releasing a new photo of the royal kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis with their father Prince William. Their mother Kate Middleton took the never-before-seen, candid black and white snap.

"🎄 Merry Christmas!" the Kensington Palace Instagram captioned the photo. "This photograph of The Duke of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge in Norfolk earlier this year. We wish all our followers a very happy and relaxing Christmas Day ⛄️"

This is the second new portrait of the royal kids that has come out this holiday. Last week, the photo Kate and William included on their Christmas card went around. The family was all dressed in blue, and Kate was in the photo too, rather than taking it.

The royal family will be out later on Christmas morning, when they all go to service in Norfolk. Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Archie will not be with the family (they're spending Christmas in Canada with Meghan's mother Doria Ragland), but Kate and William will. Their two oldest children George and Charlotte are expected to make their Christmas morning church debut with the Queen and other senior family members.

"It will be so sweet. George and Charlotte will make their Christmas debut, as long as they’re both on good form on the day," a royal source told The Sun. "It’s the picture all royal fans want to see. The royals walking to church on Christmas Day is a rite of passage and so William and Kate didn’t want to expose their children too early, but they feel they’re old enough now."
